WITH SUSTAINABLE SEAMLESS FLOORING
Studio Anatomy, a recently completed reformer Pilates studio in London Fields, Hackney, envisioned an interior that seamlessly integrates Sensoflooring to create a tranquil and sustainable environment for its clientele. Collaborating with DEDRAFT, the goal was to design an open-plan, sun-soaked space with ample natural light, ensuring a distinct and uplifting experience for users while setting the studio apart from competitors.

WITH SEAMLESSLY POURED FLOORING
The primary challenge was to transform the studio’s atmosphere from its previous state as a dilapidated first-floor commercial unit. Working closely with the client’s thoughtful brief, three spaces were crafted: a light and airy reception featuring Sensoflooring, a semi-private yet luxurious changing area where our poured resin flooring continues, and a spacious, naturally-lit studio where sustainable floors, including warm bespoke oak joinery, were seamlessly incorporated.
THE POWER OF UNITY
A consistent palette of materials was chosen, including lime plaster, poured Sensoflooring, and warm bespoke oak joinery, ensuring a seamless and sustainable design. The absence of doors and the use of punched arches facilitated a continuous and visually connected flow between studio spaces, creating an intuitive and user-friendly environment. Rich oak joinery recesses, complementing the Sensofloors, added warmth to the light, pared-back interior. Draped fabrics in the reception and changing rooms served as a backdrop to freestanding furniture, contributing to a soft and luxurious atmosphere.

The space was meticulously designed to be functional and practical, offering ample storage and seating for clients to change and prepare for workouts. DEDRAFT’s close collaboration with the client guaranteed that Studio Anatomy not only met but surpassed expectations. The result is a stunning Pilates studio where natural light, sustainable floors, and elegant design converge to create a welcoming and therapeutic space, enriching the overall experience.
